John A. “Jack” Crawford Bliss, N.Y. / Deland, FLA Jack Crawford, 74, of Bliss, NY passed away Saturday (April 30, 2022) at his home in Deland, Fla. Born in Aberdeen, Maryland on January 17, 1948, the son of Everett and Alice (Trotter) Crawford. He had resided the majority of his life in Bliss. He had been employed for many years at the Marquart Brothers Farm in Gainesville, NY and will be remembered by many for his love of photography. Actually Jack's interest in photography was very unusual, and was exemplified by the natural beauty he observed and captured at Letchworth Park. He was also intrigued with the beauty of hot air balloons. He attended, volunteered and photographed many balloon festivals in Dansville. Jack's hobby produced some beautiful pictures that have been valued, marketed and displayed by his family over the years. Jack was predeceased by both parents and his sister, Janet Crawford. Survivors include two brothers; Robert “Bob” (Elaine) Crawford of England and Harold “Hal” Crawford of Napa Valley, CA., one sister Joan Bennett of NC., his aunt; Marian Crawford of Wayland, one niece; Katherine Crawford of NC., a nephew; Brian Bennett also of NC and several cousins. Per Jack’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Burial will be in Until The Day Dawn Cemetery, Angelica N.Y. The family is being assisted by Anthony Cone, director at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home of Angelica.
